DESCRIPE MYSELF

My name is Eka. I live in Bojonggede, Bogor. I live with my parents and two brothers in small house. We have an ordinary life but we always happy about that. I am a student from Gunadarma University, faculty of English Literature. There, I get new friends. They are Ririen, Ayu and Hikmah. I think that we are going to be close friend. My activities are weary. Starting my day with  get up early in the morning and finishing with my homeworks in the evening.

I am 18 years old. I am about 155 cm tall. My face is round. My eyes are dark brown and round. I wear veil. I am look very Indonesian. I think, I have a friendly look because I smile a lot. I am not really fat but I can be categorize it. I like to eat, so I think that is the reason why I have a little big body.

I have a pleasant personality and easy going. Sometimes I can to be bear a grudge if someone hurts me. I love all of people that in my life. I love my parents, my brothers, my big family and actually my friends. I am happy can help someone if they need to help. I like listen to music especially Korean pop. I like Korea so much and I think I am crazy about that. I am big fan of Doraemon since I was in Junior High School. The one that I hate is vegetable! I hate it so much.

My future plans are not very definite. First, I am going to improve my English. Then, I want to learn about Korean language. After that, I really want to be a reporter. I don’t have a boyfriend but I have someone special who I llike. I hope, next time he can be my boyfriend or maybe my future husband? I don’t know. I just want to have a happy life with all of people that I love.

LETTER TO A FRIEND

                                                                                                December, 14 2014

Dear Fathira,

It is early evening and I am sitting in a Dae Han Min Guk Reastaurant with a cup of tea close to all my homework. It is a cold day in Seoul, South Korea. It is winter and I am feeling homesick. I am thinking of you and all my friends in Indonesia. I really miss everyone. Outside, many people paced back and forth  on the street. All of them are wearing thick clothes and gloves to warming their body. I think everyone is in a hurry to quickly to come back home. Buses and cars are moving up and down the street. Inside, it is very warm and comfortable. There are three high school girls at the table next to mine. One of them bringing a laptop. They are really much talking and laughing. I think they are talking about their idol that they watch the video in laptop. That remembering me about you. You know, when we were in high school we like most talking about our idol, Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK). I really miss them. DBSK have a lot of fans in Korea. A group of  young man is sitting in a large table next to three high school girls’s table. They are eating Samgyupsal. It look delicious. You know, Samgyupsal is one of delicious and famous food here and I like it very much. The most food in South Korea is wonderful. Sometimes, I go to recreation place to refreshing like Han River, Namsan Tower, Amusement Park and Jeju Island. You know, the scenery here is the best. So wonderful.

I am fine here. I am learning a lot in my classes. I like most of my teachers and my classmates. They are so kind to me. Two of my classmates are my close friends and one of my classmates is my new boyfriend. You know, he is from Indonesia too. His name is Tian and he is nice and charming. I attend my classes every early morning, I work in Ice Cream Shop every afternoon and I study every evening. It is really tired and sometimes I feel frustated but I like my life here.

I hope that you are well and happy too. How about your school? How about your work? Do you have a new boyfriend? Can you read my letter? Please, write soon for me. I really want to read your letter too with news from your life now.

Yang dimaksud tujuan belajar ialah apa yang minimal dikuasai mahasiswa setelah mendapat materi perkuliahan.

Analyzing an Image Advertisement

Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience (viewers, readers, or listeners). Purchase or take some action upon products, ideals or services. It includes the name of a product or service and how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade a target market to purchase or to consume that particular brand. These brand are usually paid for or identified through sponsors and viewed via various media.

Advertising can also serve to communicate and idea to a large number of people in an attempt to convince them to take a certain action.


Usually the ads consist of drawings and writings are specifically designed in an interesting way. Ads placed in several media such as electronic media and print media, etc. Print media such as magazines, newspapers, banners, billboards, banners, etc. Products ads published when there is a new product that want to be promoted by a company.

Techniques on making the ad there are several kinds, namely :
1. Photography Techniques
2. Drawing Techniques
3. Animation Techniques
4. Live Action Techniques

The results of our analysis ads :
• Advertise that our analyze are about ice cream products that most consumers are among the targeted children to adulthood.
• This ads was published in the print media (brochures) and electronic media (internet).
• Types of techniques used in this ad is the technique of drawing and photography.
• The language used in advertising in our study using an easily understandable and also is suggestive so as to attract the attention of consumers.
